So So Sad

I can't believe it, Michael Jackson dead at 50 June 25, 2009. Wow, you really have to just take a second and think about that. He has been part of my life since day one, I was listening to him before elementary school. My family would listen to Michael on road trips, on our way to the grocery store, and on the way to school. We would listen to him in the living room, in the kitchen. and in the basement. I've danced my ass off to him many many times into the early morning to his music at clubs and now he is gone! Michael Jackson's music is part of the soundtrack of my life, as it is for so many others. I honestly never saw Michael Jackson growing to be an old man, I really thought that he would die young. He was just way to phenomenal to live to be an old man. Also with all his troubles these last few years I figured it would finally catch up to him. How do you live as the biggest celebrity ever? I feel for him, he was so secluded, and lived in such as surreal world, he was never happy with his appearance, and seemed so lonely. Unfortunately I thought it was a matter of time, how much more stress can one take? Its so crazy when you think about it, the world followed his entire life, just like in the movie the "Truman Show" with Jim Carey. Now the show is over and where do we go now as a world? What will the next day be like, who will we follow next? Well I hope he is in peace now and jamming with the best of them, wherever he is. Michael Jackson will be greatly missed. I am glad that I got to experience him in my life. Thank you Michael you gave us all so much joy.

Go Skateboarding Day 09

I just ran across this and I thought this was pretty cool.  I'm just getting into skateboarding myself and loving it,  " Go Skateboarding Day in NYC 09' struck me as amazing. Apparently everyone who skateboards is invited to come out if you are in the New York City area, its going to be a huge gathering of skaters cruising around the city. The actual event was scheduled to be on Sunday June 21, but since its expected to rain it has been postponed till June 27th. Unfortantely I can't be there, but for those who can enjoi. For more information on the event go to www.goskateboardingday.org/events/63996 and www.officialnewyork.com

Shoe Porn

Back again with some more sick shoes to gauk at. I have been looking around lately and honestly no shoes have really caught my eye until I saw these new TK Society Supras from Pro-Skater Terry Kennedy. These shoes were just released last month and have already been selling out in underground sneaker stores around the country. The TK Society Supras are really starting to grow on me, with the extra high, high top, they have a real futuristic look.
