Eats in the Streets

Hey all I wanted to share my new monthly feature "Eats in the Streets". This is a strictly food and beverage segment that deals with restaurants, street venders, and mom and pop stands nationally and internationally. Our first episode is at Blue Nile Cafe a Ethiopian restaurant found in the River Market area in Kansas City Missouri. The food was amazing, the hospitality was spectacular, I highly recommend it.  You can find them at 20 East 5th St. Kansas City, Mo (816)283-0990.

Shoe Porn

Back again with some more Shoe Porn for you all. I was just surfing the web and came across some super hot Adidas X Def Jam Forum Mid sneakers. Adidas and Def Jam coming together once again, they both helped each other come up as companies through out the years with hip hop and now they are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the  greatest hip hop label ever Def Jam. These shoes definitely pay homage to the record label giant with its signature company colors and logos on outer side of shoe. Any shoe lover and hip hop lover should grab a pair of these joints to add to your collection.

Need To Know Project Monkz

Recently I had a chance and the pleasure to meet and hangout with Ramses and Habenger from the Ghanaian Hip Hop Group Project Monkz. These dudes are really holding it down in the Ghanaian hip hop scene. They are true proofs of taking nothing and creating something bigger than they could have imagined. They took my brother and I all around the city of Accra and finally to their hood to chop it up and talk about their success of their hit song "Once A Slave", Ghanaian Hip Hop, HiLife, and 46,000 hits on Youtube. I had a great time speaking with them, they had so much to say. The Project Monkz are definitely a crew that you should check out. They have conscious lyrics about the African diaspora over dope beats and African rhythms. You can check them out on youtube or get a copy of their album on itunes
