Way Back Play Back: Stepping Razor Red X

Anytime people mention reggae the immediate artist that pops into the head is Bob Marley, but rarely people say Peter Tosh who was one of the original Wailers, later changed to Bob Marley and the Wailers. Peter Tosh was also great reggae artist that never got his fair due. He was always in some way in the shadow of his colossal band mate. If Bob Marley was to reggae like Martin Luther King was to the civil rights movement, Peter Tosh was reggae's Malcolm X, with his razor sharp revolutionary lyrics. This week's Way Back Play Back movie is "Stepping Razor Red X" an excellent documentary on the life and times of the late great reggae legend Peter Tosh. (Note this movie is in parts, watch all of them) Enjoy!!

Way Back Play Back: The Carter Documentary

Every Wednesday we like to show films/documentaries that generally were created a few years back. Today's feature is going to be a lot more recent but still very informative and very entertaining. The Way Back Play Back Movie this week is The Carter a documentary that follows Lil Wayne everywhere on tour, backstage, in the studio, and in hotels. This film explores the life of the rising hip hop superstar and his habits, his process, and work mentality. No matter how you feel about Lil Wayne, this is a great documentary for those who get inspired by watching independent artist do their thing and get paid doing it. Got to love that.
