Way Back Play Back: The Harder They Come

Here is a super cool old school Way Back Play Back movie from the early 70's the Jamaican cult classic "The Harder They Come" starring Jimmy Cliff. Written by legendary screen writers Perry Henzell and Trevor D. Rhone, the movie is a story of a young man named" Ivanhoe Martin" down on his luck, and trying to make it in the hard streets of Kingston, Jamaica. He is trying to find a job and way to eat in the crazy concrete jungle, by any means necessary. He tries to get any job he can get and finally decides to try his hand at singing Reggae. Ivanhoe Martin cuts a record, but then sells the rights to his song for only $20. So now he is back where he started with little money and only a dream to become famous. With the thought of fame and money only in his head, he is succumbed by other means to achieve it, whether it be drug smuggling, or shooting and killing his way to the top! Its a potential good situation gone incredibly bad! Classic flick, peep it out and enjoy!
